TBWA Cape Town gains Shatterprufe business

TBWA Cape Town was recently awarded the national account for the windscreen manufacturer Shatterprufe.  The account is worth between R8-million and R10 million. 

Announcing the win, Tim Culley, managing director of TBWA Cape Town says the account once again offers the agency an opportunity to demonstrate its capability to deliver a fully integrated service across TV, print, digital & direct. TBWA Cape Town beat three other agencies to bag the account. 

Culley says the goal is to help move Shatterprufe, the premier windscreen glass manufacturer, beyond being known for its safety credentials to position it as a premium mass market automotive glass brand. 

“In the windscreen industry safety is a ticket to the game,” says Culley. “All windscreens, including no name brands, must meet safety standards to be sold in the country. We want to move Shatterprufe beyond that highlighting the consistent quality and added value the no name brands simply can’t match” 

Commenting on the awarding of the account, Bernice Bailey, marketing director at PG Glass, the manufacturers and distributors of Shatterprufe, said: With the rapidly changing market environment for automotive glass, it is extremely important that we portray and position the Shatterprufe brand positively and entrench the brand as the market leader when it comes to quality and safety” Bailey notes  that TBWA was  selected through a process of elimination and felt that the agency could best help meet this objective.  “We look forward to a successful journey with TBWA.” says Bailey.

The win is one of a number of recent account wins for TBWA Cape Town that includes Cinema Nouveau, PayU, and Truworths Investor Relations.
