Leading integrated agency, the King James Group, scooped three awards at the Creative Circle Ad of the Year Awards on Wednesday evening, including both first and second place in the Digital category for the Sanlam ‘One Rand Man’ and Johnnie Walker ‘Meet Your Match’ campaigns respectively. These latest wins once again showcase the group’s ability to leap seamlessly between mediums, through absolute cohesiveness and collaboration around ideas.
“Both One Rand Man and Meet Your Match are the result of simple, compelling creative ideas that were then exploded into whichever mediums made them stronger. That’s the great thing about good ideas. They just have such a flammable quality about them,” commented Alistair King, Group Executive Creative Director.
One Rand Man has been a favourite at top local and international awards, winning 12 African Cristals, 7 Midas awards and 3 at the IAB Bookmarks just last month. Meet Your Match has also brought home its own fair share of silverware, with 3 Loeries, 4 African Cristals and 4 awards at the Bookmarks.
The group also took home third place in the Film category for the Bell’s ‘The Reader’ TV commercial.
