In terms of awards, the past few months have been remarkable for the agency named by AdFocus in 2000 as the SA Agency of the Century. At Cannes, there was a grand prix, five gold lions, a silver and two bronze. At the recent Loeries there was a Loeries grand prix.

This glory stems from a single campaign for The Zimbabwean newspaper to highlight the collapse of Zimbabwe's economy and currency - trillion-dollar notes were flung around like confetti.

Hunts has now devised and launched what it claims to be the first campaign by an SA advertising agency to be used internationally, across 33 countries. The campaign, part of Standard Bank's "Moving Forward" idea, is intended to strengthen its position as one of the world's leading financial institutions in emerging markets.
