Having previously won a number of project-based assignments around Africa, ODC last year won two major projects from Dubai - the Mirage Mille account involves the St Regis Hotel and residences on Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island Resort; and Rocky Real Estate involves the St Regis Le Morne estate in Mauritius. Despite these successes, Coles says Dubai clients have been particularly hard hit by the global economic downturn, which has led to a limited number of major new projects. ODC's third new account last year was less exotic: refining Vodacom's corporate identity and developing a corporate identity manual.
