If the past 12 months were to be captured in a song, says Morris, it would be Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive. It's been probably the toughest year since the agency opened its doors in 2001. Recession-hit clients counted the cents. Wimpy, the biggest account with R60m in billings, went elsewhere. Income dipped 25%.

But there was comfort food to compensate, from Ferrero chocolates and Foodcorp. And Miller beer to drown the sorrows. And how about body pampering with goods from another new client, Incolab ? If all those couldn't lift the gloom, nothing could. Together, they almost wiped out the Wimpy billings loss.

The agency launched its Mojo Interactive digital arm in March and created a publicity buzz with a print campaign that used a topless bride and scuba diver to advertise a neck and bust firming treatment.
