With stadiums such as Coca-Cola Park in Jo'burg, Newlands in Cape Town, Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria and Vodacom Park in the Free State already on its books, Megapro this year also became the commercial agent for Soccer City, Orlando Stadium, Rand Stadium and the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. On the other hand, it lost naming rights to provincial cricket stadiums in Cape Town, Durban and PE. The British & Irish Lions rugby tour in June led to Megapro raising an estimated R25m in sponsorship. The agency is starting to dip its toes into nonsports marketing. It has partnered Big Concerts to present music shows and is in talks with Joy of Jazz. It is also looking at staging classical concerts on wine farms.
