SA was never intended to be the be-all and end-all for this company. The ambition was always to be pan-African, then move further afield.

With work undertaken last year in Nigeria, Mozambique, Mauritius, Tanzania, Seychelles, India and Russia, it would be fair to say it is achieving its aims. The Dubai office is also reporting growing business.

New accounts last year included Transnet, Nigeria's Afribank, the Mauritius national lottery and Captain Doregos.

McCoy describes HKLM as a multidisciplinary marketing services company, with emphasis on emerging markets.

Income grew 22% last year. There were various awards, mainly for annual reports and corporate brochures.
