Last year we raved about Jupiter Jo'burg's remarkable end to 2006, when it picked up R1bn in ultra high-profile new accounts, then announced it would accept no more new business for nine months. It was always going to be impossible to replicate that, But, hey, three new brands and a 46% increase in gross revenue isn't too shoddy.
Arthur Kaplan Jewellers, Discom and the International Marketing Council joined the stable this time round - worth R47m in billings. The Big Five, however, remain MTN, Absa, Jet, Edgars and Sasol.
Clients weren't the only newcomers to the business, the staff complement grew. The agency was last year chosen as the best SA firm to work for in the telecommunications and media industry.
According to CEO Silverstone, the agency has sought to respond to tougher economic times by adding value to its services. This includes enhancements to the digital and design departments. And its creative record? It just kept winning.
