The TBWA\Fusion name has gone and the agency has reverted to a recognisable entity in line with the rest of the group. When it was created in 2003, Fusion was considered an exemplary synthesis of above- and below-the-line disciplines. Now such synthesis is considered a "given" in any large agency.

Maybe the change, which happened last December, will breathe new life into the agency, which has not always achieved its potential in recent years. It's already looking a little more promising - two pitches entered last year, two won; and 33% growth in revenue.

The agency's biggest accounts are Adidas, BankMed, Cadiz, Cape Town Routes Unlimited and Medi-Clinic. Two of these - BankMed and Routes Unlimited - are new, with a combined value of R20m.
