It's all change at Proximity, where former Leo Burnett strategy head Brendan Wade has moved into the hot seat following the decision of founding partner Nici Stathacopoulos to change careers within the industry and move to Cape Town.
Stathacopoulus launched the agency six years ago as The Tipping Point, then changed its name to Proximity#ttp in a joint venture with Net#work BBDO and Proximity Worldwide.
With Stuart Stobbs as the creative catalyst, the agency has begun making a name for itself on the awards stage and is attracting a solid client base. Newcomers last year were Redgwoods (brands include Toys R Us and Reggies), Unlimited Group, Hollard Insurance, DMX Music, Europ Car and Europ Assistance.
The agency's biggest accounts are Cell C, Redgwoods, Hospitality Property Group, Unlimited Group and Europ Car.
