It's ironic that 2007, the agency's most successful financial year, should also be its worst creatively. But the agency has since made up for that: 2008 has been its best. The Allan Gray commercial, telling the story of a boy protecting his plain girlfriend, won a Cannes Silver Lion and Loeries grands prix, and the agency has also won awards for kulula.com, Cape Union Mart and the Cape Argus.

Though the agency currently has no black economic empowerment arrangements, plans are under way to partner a black agency, making it 28% black-owned.

Integrated campaign assignments, in tandem with partner firms, are showing particular growth. New accounts won by the agency over the review period included Cube and Hang Ten stores, Triumph International and Eyeballs Mobile. The five biggest accounts are Brandhouse (Bell's & Johnnie Walker whiskies), Allan Gray, Ackermans, Parmalat and Indigo Cosmetics.
