The agency, part of the Ogilvy group, won a swathe of new business last year. Significant client additions included the SA Post Office, Colgate-Palmolive and the newly launched Grolsch beer brand. From a creative perspective, the highlight of the year was the production of the first commercial campaign in SA featuring locally born Oscar-winner Charlize Theron, for Sun International. For the same client, Brand Activation completed an overall rebranding project.
Growth over the review period was 22,6%, following 22,5% and 73,5% the previous two years.
The agency's five biggest clients are FNB, SA Tourism, Sun International, SA Post Office and SA Airways. Other new accounts last year included L'Oréal Vichy, Lucozade, Business Connexion, AVI, Bevcan and SAB corporate responsibility.
Within the agency, changes included the appointments of George Rautenbach as creative director, in place of Felix Kessel, and of Kristina Couzyn as strategic director.
