Wet windfall

A luxury Malaysian beach resort is offering guests a free night if rainfall exceeds 3cm during their stay, reports Reuters. The Tanjong Jara resort is on Malaysia’s east coast and its “Everybody Loves Rain” promotion comes during the area’s main rainy season from November to February. Monthly rainfall last December was over 8cm. Marketing head Sarah Cairns says: “The chances of rain are very high this time of year, so are your chances of a free night.”
